Dear Family,
So we talked to Kentons mission mom and he is in the hospital with a partially collapsed lung. No dramatic accident he just stretched his back funny while tracting on friday, heard a pop, felt pain, couldn't breath well, and his heart started racing.
Thank you for your prayers for Elder Durfee. We expect him to heal quickly and be back in action soon. He received a blessing and was promised to heal quickly and fully. We were able to talk to him tonight. He is in good spirits and feels that the Lord is watching out for him. The doctors did a procedure to help his lung. They inserted a tube into his chest and drained the fluid surrounding his lung. His lung is now 2/3 inflated and should keep inflating. He is on oxygen and is being monitered and hopefully will get to be released soon. (The Dr estimated 5 days......) They have called in another set of elders so his faithful companion can rotate in and out of the hospital and not have to stay there the entire time. So Elder Durfee is very brave and doesn't complain. He rode around on his bike for 4 days with a collapsed lung. They are hoping to convert the nurses. Yes it was painful and scary. He said that he can feel our prayers. Thank you family, we sure appreciate your love and support.
Love, Dale and Kathy
